The CDA offers support to the Dioceses

By establishing pastoral services with appropriately qualified personnel.The aim has been to have full-time Heads of Service, Chaplains, Pastoral Workers and Catechetical Workers appointed in each dioceses.

Natural Family Planning with Orientation on Visual Accent (NOVA)

Among Bishops and Diocesan communities of the needs and rights of Deaf people

 

The CDA offers Support

To existing Diocesan Services with Deaf people

 

The CDA promotes

Working partnerships with other agencies such as Catholic Welfare Society, Nugent Care Society, Catholic Caring Services etc

 

Provides Catechetical courses for Deaf people

CCRS (Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies) course given by Deaf tutors to Deaf people using sign language.

‘Visual Faith’ – basic faith development (can also be used as preparatory pre-CCRS course) for Deaf adults using sign language.

Sign language and Deaf Awareness training to diocesan Pastoral Workers.

 

Publishes national publications

Outreach magazines (3 times a year)

Signs of God Lectionary for Deaf people (available from Redemptorist Publications)

Sacramentary for Deaf people
